Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2, 2026

PrepGo is an online IELTS preparation platform built for students in Uzbekistan and the wider region. We take the trust you place in us seriously, and this policy explains in plain language what information we hold about you, why we hold it, and the control you keep over it.

PrepGo evolves quickly. We ship new practice tools and AI-assisted feedback often, so this policy is reviewed and updated as the product grows. The version published here is always the one that applies.

What we collect

We only gather what we need to run your account and help you improve your band score. In practice that falls into a few groups:

  • Account details — the email address you sign up with, your display name, and authentication data when you log in through a connected provider such as Telegram or Google.
  • Learning activity — the tests and exercises you attempt, your answers, time spent, scores, streaks, XP, and progress across Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking.
  • Submitted work — the essays you write and the speaking audio you record so our AI can return a band estimate and feedback.
  • Technical data — browser type, device and operating system, approximate location derived from your IP address, and diagnostic logs that help us fix crashes and slow pages.

PrepGo runs in the browser as a web app. We rely mainly on first-party storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences; we do not run third-party advertising trackers.

How we use it

Your information lets us deliver the service and make it better over time. Specifically, we use it to:

  • Create and secure your account, keep your progress in sync, and unlock content when a valid promo code or subscription is applied.
  • Generate AI feedback and band estimates on your written and spoken answers, and adapt practice recommendations to your level.
  • Improve our grading models and content quality. Where we use submitted work to refine our systems, we strip out details that identify you wherever it is practical to do so.
  • Send you account and service messages, and — only if you ask for them — reminders and product updates. You can turn optional messages off at any time.
  • Detect abuse, prevent fraud, and keep the platform safe and working as intended.

When we share it

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only in a small number of necessary situations:

  • Service providers — trusted vendors that host our infrastructure, process AI evaluation, or help us with analytics and support. They may only use the data to perform work for us and are bound to keep it confidential.
  • Partner teachers — if you join a class or use a partner-issued promo code, your teacher can see your progress within that class so they can support your studies.
  • Legal reasons — when we are genuinely required to disclose information by law, or where it is needed to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or PrepGo.
  • Business changes — if PrepGo is ever reorganised, merged, or acquired, account data may transfer as part of that process; we will give notice if your data becomes subject to a different policy.

We may also publish aggregated, anonymous statistics (for example, average scores across a test) that cannot be traced back to any individual.

Your choices and rights

You stay in control of your information. You can:

  • Access and update your account details and preferences from your profile settings.
  • Request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account.
  • Withdraw consent for optional communications without affecting your ability to use the service.

To exercise any of these, message us on Telegram at @prepgo_admin. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity first.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and learning history for as long as your account is active, because that history is what powers your progress charts and recommendations.

If you delete your account, we deactivate it right away and remove personal details from our active systems shortly afterwards. Routine backups may retain copies for a limited period before they are overwritten. Once data has been aggregated or anonymised, or used to train a model, it can no longer be linked to you and may be kept to keep the service running.

Keeping data secure

We use industry-standard measures — encrypted connections, access controls, and monitored infrastructure — to protect your information. No online service can promise perfect security, but we work to reduce risk and to respond quickly if a problem is found. Keeping your login credentials private is your part of that effort.

Children

PrepGo is intended for students preparing for IELTS, who are generally teenagers and adults. If you are under the age of majority in your country, you should only use PrepGo with the involvement of a parent, guardian, or teacher. If we learn we have collected data from a child without appropriate consent, we will delete it.

Where your data is handled

PrepGo serves users primarily in Uzbekistan, and our infrastructure may process and store data on servers located here or with reputable cloud providers in other countries. Wherever your data is handled, we apply the protections described in this policy.

Changes to this policy

When we make material changes, we will update the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app. Continuing to use PrepGo after a change means you accept the revised policy.
